Niantic

Fashion week returns in Pokemon Go from September 21 to 28. As part of the event, the Pokemon Poodle Furfrou will appear in the game for the first time, and you’ll have the chance to catch new costumed versions of Butterfree, Sneasel, and Blitzle.

On top of that, Niantic is rolling out the next part of the special Misunderstood Mischief research line during Fashion Week. There will also be a special new line of research that will lead to an encounter with the mythical Pokemon Meloetta. (If you’ve ever caught Meloetta during the Pokemon Go Fest 2021 Special Research, this task line will reward you with additional Meloetta candies instead.)

September Special Research Meeting: Same

Throughout September, a new set of Field Research tasks and rewards will be available in Pokemon Go, as will a new Research Breakthrough encounter. Whenever you complete enough tasks to achieve a research breakthrough this month, you’ll have the opportunity to catch a ditto. On top of that, there’s a chance the Ditto you come across is brilliant.

In order to achieve a research breakthrough in Pokemon Go, you need to collect seven stamps. You will be given a stamp for the first Field Research task that you complete each day, so you will need to complete tasks over at least seven days to achieve a Research Breakthrough and meet Ditto.

Hoopa’s arrival event

Pokemon Go kicked off its season of mischief with an event on September 5 around the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa. As part of the event, Niantic rolled out the third stage of a season’s incomprehensible mischief special research line of tasks. While the event is over, you still have time to complete the tasks, which leads to an encounter with Hoopa – your first chance to catch one in Pokemon Go.

Misunderstanding Step 3/16 Tasks and Rewards

  • Throw 5 Curved Balls – 15 Poke Balls
  • Catch 10 different species of Pokémon – 5 large balls

In addition to Inkay, other psychic Pokémon such as Abra, Gothita, and Solosis will appear more frequently in the wild, while Alolan Raichu, Wobbuffet, Medicham, and Metagross will all appear as three-star raid bosses. Finally, the next chapter in the story of The special misunderstood mischief research season will be posted during the event.
