Michigan and Jim Harbaugh Knew This Spring They Could Run In Ohio State

The Michigan Wolverines faced off against the Ohio Buckeyes and played a smashing football game. They poured out a lot of it, and it worked beautifully.

Michigan rushed for 297 yards in their 42-27 win over Ohio State – Hassan Haskins had 169 yards and 5 touchdowns. It was an incredible effort from the Michigan offensive line and running backs.

“It was a big importance to be able to run the ball this week. A lot of teams came out and maybe played a little scared against them, played a little shy – and that’s just not the case. Michigan Football, ”center Andrew Vastardis said.

Michigan set the tone ahead of the start of the season, stretching back to early 2021 as staff and players realized they could sink it down the Ohio State gorge.

“Back at the prom, it was something we thought we could do, and we wanted to be really good at it,” said Harbaugh. “As prepared for the game as we had been all season. No one seemed to have tried this approach and we were confident that our offensive line could (keep) moving, our receivers would block and our running backs would be amazing, and they were.

Dominant from start to finish. When Michigan needed a first try, Haskins and the o line continued to deliver. And when Michigan got the chance to seal it late with another strike, Haskins and the line were once again huge to take the lead to 16.

“It was dominant. The offensive line, no doubt about it, there was movement, continual movement up front from the guys. Hassan Haskins, they might have thought they saw a ghost, but it was number 25 Hassan Haskins, ”Harbaugh said. “He was running with great determination, great goal, great ability. Michigan has an old school formula, and it worked perfectly against the Buckeyes. We’ll see if this style of physical football leads to a Big Ten Championship victory and a place in the college football playoffs.
