Iowa picks vs Nebraska: top bets, current odds, injury updates and more for Friday’s game

The final week of the regular season will bring a Black Friday border rivalry to the heart of the country as the Nebraska Cornhuskers hit the road to meet the Iowa Hawkeyes. The game kicks off at 1:30 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.

Iowa (9-2, 6-2 Big Ten) will play its second 10-game campaign in three seasons on Friday and just picked up a 33-22 victory over Illinois last week. In typical Iowa fashion, the defense and special teams played a big part in the victory. Kicker Caleb Shaduk scored four field goals in the game and returner Charlie Jones delivered a 100-yard punt return. Jack Campbell also provided a six-pick in the win. The Hawkeyes can take the Big Ten West with a win and a loss at Wisconsin this weekend.

Nebraska (3-8, 1-7 Big Ten) is counting the seconds until this season’s happy ending. As has been the case throughout the season, the Cornhuskers faced Wisconsin last Saturday, but ultimately fell short in a 35-28. Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez’s career may have ended last week when he was knocked out of the game with a shoulder injury. The Cornhuskers’ all-time all-time all-time leader will miss Friday’s game in Nebraska.
