Where to buy the new Away suitcases
The recently launched Away collaboration features stunning luggage from three designers: Sandy Liang, Tia Adeola and Ji Won Choi. This is the first release in a new multi-year series that will have several more releases in the years to come. Ranging from $ 55 to $ 295, the line includes every designer’s take on the Big Bag Everywhere, Backpack with Front Pocket, and Travel Pouch Set.
Away said that each future designer group “will bring together compelling artist groups with diverse backgrounds, perspectives and aesthetics to offer their unique perspectives on Away’s best-selling travel products.”
All three of Sandy Liang’s designs are “effortless” with green and brown floral designs and layers of faded flowers and eyeball-shaped graphics. The Tia Adeola, on the other hand, are chic, preppy, and feminine, with pink ruffled edges. And the final of the three, Ji Won Choi (who you may know from Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn’s Make the cut), uses bold, modern lines and an electric cobalt blue in its line.
Want to get your hands on one of the new pieces? They’re likely to sell out – and they’re only available for a limited time – so you’ll want to grab one quickly.
What makes an Away suitcase great?
Luggage on the outside has a dedicated audience for a reason – and it’s not just about their sleek and refined appearance. Away’s suitcases also slide smoothly and stand up to the shuffling and commuting of trips. Our experts tested the Bigger Carry-on and appreciated its performance, describing it as “reliable, life-proof luggage designed for busy travelers”. At $ 225 there are certainly more affordable carry-on alternatives, but if you want something durable enough to have it by your side while you claim all of your air miles, let’s go.
Reviewed also tried Away’s large expandable suitcase, which is meant to be checked out instead of carrying it on board. The bag “was easy to maneuver on its four swivel wheels when pulled or pushed by its extendable handle during testing.” The hard shell offered protection and the interior compartments offered organization, placing luggage securely in our top five of all checked suitcases we tested.
If you’re in the market for luggage and looking to upgrade, Away is a great buy. The designs are useful and useful, whether it’s a weekend bag for a quick getaway or a larger suitcase for a vacation abroad. If you’ve been hanging out before, maybe because monochrome neutrals aren’t your thing, the New Designer Collection may be the perfect excuse to splurge.
