ALTER BRIDGE – Pawns & Kings Florida Listening Party Postponed Due to Hurricane Ian Threat

Alter Bridge was scheduled to hold a listening party for their new album, Pawns & Kings, on September 30 at The Abbey in Orlando, Florida. Earlier today, the band posted the following message via social media:

“Hello Friends – We had to move the listening party from September 30th to October 6th at the Beacham. There’s just no way to stop the show on the 30th at this point due to the hurricane. Stay safe everyone!”

Tickets for the Pawns & Kings Listening Party, which includes an acoustic performance by Alter Bridge, as well as a Q&A and photo op, are still available at this location.

The hurricane in question is Hurricane Ian, which according to CNN“continues to strengthen as it heads into Florida, prompting urgent evacuations and threatening dangerous storm surges in places not used to being directly affected by a hurricane.”

Florida could start feeling Ian’s wrath as early as Tuesday, with hurricane-like conditions likely to hit the state on Wednesday. The hurricane center’s forecast for Ian “showed an unprecedented rate of strengthening from a tropical storm to a powerful hurricane,” CNN meteorologist Brandon Miller said.

Alter Bridge has released a lyric video for “Sin After Sin,” the new single from the band’s seventh studio album, Pawns & Kings, which is due out worldwide on October 14 via Napalm Records. Watch the clip below:

Pawns & Kings is made up of 10 epic new tracks that are sure to attract new fans of the band around the world while satiating their staunch supporters who have been patiently waiting for the band’s new music. Pawns & Kings has found Alter Bridge reunited with longtime collaborator and producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette to create a collection of memorable new additions to the band’s impressive lineup.

From the opening riffs of “This Is War” to the closer title track album “Pawns & Kings”, Alter Bridge returns with an album of intense tracks that were born after their last album’s cycle was cut short. by the global pandemic.
