PHOTOS: Droid Factory’s new Mystery Crate action figures roll into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney Studios in Hollywood
Bright suns! On our last trip to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we discovered some new Droid Factory Mystery Crates at Droid Depot.
Droid Factory Mystery Crates – $ 14.99 each

Each mystery crate contains an articulated droid figure.

The packaging, while nicely thematic, offers very little information about the content.

We couldn’t wait to see our droid, so we opened the crate. The droid is inside a black bag, so you can’t look through the crate windows and figure out which one is inside.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that the droid, in true Droid Factory style, is waiting to be assembled.

Each droid comes with a small sticker with its name on it. Our first mystery droid was C1-4B, a C1 series astromech unit. Guests can spot a full-size C1-4B on a shelf inside the Droid Depot.

Here is C1-4B fully assembled. The crate cover has grooves for the droid to sit on.

We unpacked the second crate to find CH-83, a yellow and white BB unit. Models C1-4B and CH-83 are also available as wind-up toys.

The shell snaps into the droid’s “engine”.

A fully assembled CH-83.

A semi-circular groove also allows BB units to sit on the crate.
